MyGuichet.lu now provides centralised access to invoices from municipalities
The new feature launched on the secure MyGuichet.lu platform aims to simplify everyday administrative procedures. This new feature can be activated via guichet.lu/factures-communales. Citizens can now view all their municipal invoices covering the past five years through a single, clear and secure portal.
An expanded range of services designed to simplify citizens’ lives
Since 9 February, the MyGuichet.lu platform has been offering a new service that enables citizens to access, in one place, all their municipal invoices from the past five years.
Developed jointly by the Intermunicipal IT Management Association (SIGI), the City of Luxembourg and the Government IT Centre (CTIE), this development addresses a clear and practical need: providing a centralised and easy-to-read overview of municipal invoices, including when moving home or dealing with multiple municipalities. Stéphanie Obertin, Minister for Digitalisation, explains: "MyGuichet.lu is a platform enabling exchanges between administrations and citizens, operated by the CTIE, which now also allows municipal invoices to be delivered via eDelivery."
A single, clear and secure point of access
With this new service, citizens can now easily view their municipal invoices without having to navigate between multiple systems or platforms.
Invoices issued via municipal systems are directly accessible on MyGuichet.lu, offering a seamless user experience within a digital environment that is already widely used by citizens. Philippe Meyers, President of SIGI, adds: "This is a major success for all partners involved, enabling us to offer a uniform service to all citizens across all municipalities in the country, within the same platform used for state administrative procedures. It demonstrates both the technical capability and the political will to work together to simplify administrative processes for the benefit of citizens. The latest figures from our 99 member municipalities clearly illustrate citizens’ interest in simple, accessible and secure solutions, and encourage us to continue in this direction. Adoption continues to grow: we currently have 8,908 citizens signed up to the service."
A service for all
This service is available to all residents, as well as non-residents who have interactions with at least one Luxembourg municipality.
It covers all municipal administrations, confirming the partners’ commitment to providing a consistent and harmonised digital service at national level. Patrick Goldschmidt, Alderman of the City of Luxembourg, explains: "With the implementation of this new feature via MyGuichet.lu, the City of Luxembourg is strengthening its Smart City approach, making services simpler and more accessible to all. This new feature complements the services already available on e-services.vdl.lu and reflects our ongoing commitment to digitalisation for the benefit of citizens."
Collaboration in the service of public innovation
This project demonstrates the ability of public stakeholders to innovate together in order to deliver practical, user-centred digital services. Serge Hoffmann, Vice-President of the Association of Luxembourg Cities and Municipalities (Syvicol), adds: "On behalf of Syvicol, I would like to congratulate all stakeholders for successfully delivering this project, which will enable all 100 municipalities to send invoices to citizens more easily. This is an important step in advancing digitalisation and administrative simplification, as invoice generation will now be easier and, above all, less time-consuming."
A first step towards new services
The launch of this feature marks a new stage in the development of digital municipal services. Further developments will enrich the MyGuichet.lu offering in the coming months.
Léon Gloden, Minister for Home Affairs, concludes: "2026 is the year of the municipalities. Recently, we launched the COSMOS platform initiative — municipalities, intermunicipal bodies, ministries and social offices — aimed at strengthening and simplifying exchanges between the State and municipalities. With centralised access to municipal invoices on MyGuichet.lu, another important step towards administrative simplification for users has been made."
